The Association is looking to recruit a new volunteer Trustee/Treasurer to oversee the work of the bookkeeper, deal with income and payments, advise the board on financial matters, work with the Independent Financial Examiners to produce the year-end accounts and report to the membership at the AGM. Liaising with the Charity Commission may be required from time to time.
This position would suit someone with a background in finance and accounting. Experience with using SAGE software is essential as is the use of MS Office and emails.
The hours will vary but will be in the region of 1 to 2 days a week, and as the Treasurer will work from home these hours will be flexible. Access to a computer and printer will be required and as the SAGE application is cloud-based SAGE software is not required. Training could be given if necessary.
Because of the nature of the work references and a DBS check will be required, and the successful applicant will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.

This will be a working from home position with flexible hours, in the region of 8 to 12 hours a week.
Access to a computer and the internet is essential.
Experience in using Microsoft Office is required, and although training will be given an understanding of Sage or a similar software programme is desirable.
Due to the nature of the work, good references will be required plus a satisfactory DBS check. The successful applicant will also be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.
Although this is a remote working opportunity, applicants should be based within 30 miles of Derby in order to facilitate training and occasional meetings with the Treasurer.
