We now have probably the largest selection of second-hand transport books in the East Midlands plus new transport books and guides, second-hand fiction and non-fiction as well as maps, railway lamps and a selection of other railwayana. 

 

We will be updating this section of the website on the shop with newly acquired items for sale.

Transaccord EPs and LPs

 

We have recently acquired a number of Transaccord sound recordings, both EPs (£2 each) and LPs (£3 each)  and other record labels too of train sounds. 

 

The Railway Magazine Bound Copies 

 

We have a good selection of bound copies from 1899 (July - September) and the two six-monthly editions through most of the 1900s, 1910s,  1920s, 1930s, 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. Prices range from £15 per volume for the earlier ones  to £5 for the 1950s and 1960s.

Railways/Railway World - Set of bound copies volumes I - XVII, was £70 now special offer £50.

Complete set (19 volumes) of the RCTS publication Locomotives of the LNER. Was £70 now special offer £50.

Now in:

• New second-hand railway books - just in! We have received over 1,000 second-hand railway books in the last week and are currently pricing them. They will be on the shelves as we price them - many of them we have not seen before so come along to see what there is.

• Transport photographs - We have also received several hundred photographs which will be on sale by September 8th, once they have been sorted into categories.

• Second-hand craft books - We have received a donation of over 300 craft books and are sorting them into categories - currently Patchwork and quilting books are for sale in the shop but there are knitting, crochet, embroidery, blackwork, stumpwork, lace  making , teddy besrs and lots, lots more to come in the next few months - one topic at a time as they are priced. 

• A good range of railway leaflets - excursions, revised timetables, timetable alterations, Diesel train services and cheap fares in the Midlands, holiday trains etc., etc., at £3 each.

• A number of local LNER goods paperwork items at various prices
